The Traxxas Grave Digger is part of Monster Jam series that are accurate replicas of the famous real life monster trucks.  These are a lot of fun with their oversized tires and speed.  These come with a higher torque gear installed so popping wheelies is a snap, simply punch down on the throttle.  Those that prefer speed over torque can simply install the free extra spur gear that comes with this truck. 

As far as electronics, this large size Traxxas Grave Digger 1/10 scale beast comes with a powerful 550 "Titan" 12 turn motor that enables this RC monster truck to reach speeds in excess of 30mph!  This one comes with everything needed to include an AM radio transmitter/receiver, battery pack, and charger.  You only need to purchase AA batteries for the radio transmitter, however the radios don't eat up batteries, so standard, affordable akalines should last a long time (several runs).  Mine typically last all summer without replacement.  RC cars and trucks have better performance nowadays which means larger current demands.  The good news is RC batteries are much better nowadays, so the free battery pack should last a decent amount of time (10-20 minute run times typical) without charging.

The Traxxas Grave Digger and all the Monster Jam series are based on the same chassis as the Traxxas Stampede which has proven its strength and durability!  This fully assembled replica also comes with a fully painted body and decals so you are ready to go with realistic model sized driving!  The Grave Digger is one of the most fun RC trucks I've driven and is well priced to boot!  My favorite aspect in the way it drives is if you floor the throttle on the radio you can really make it do wheelies with ease (assuming you leave the higher torque gear installed of course).
