The Team Associated SC10 is known to pretty much anyone that is into short course RC truck racing.  It comes in both the RTR and kit versions and because the chassis is better built with a lower center of gravity than the Traxxas Slash, it typically is the choice for serious racers.  Team Associated makes trucks decent for bashing, however the first emphasis is on winning the races, which all start with the handling for the RC truck or car.  

Considering how it’s essentially race ready out of the box, you receive a ton of value in either the kit or RTR versions of the Team Associated SC10 model (both the 2wd and 4wd versions are start cheaper than the Slash)!  Also, parts are easily available for this short course truck, in the event you have a serious crash that manages to break it.  Don't worry too much though; the Team Associated SC10 is very durable, enough so that it will take most crashes over and over again with ease! 

For those that may not know, the Team Associated SC10 Factory Team kit version is a recent addition to this lineup, which has been further enhanced to seriously win races in terms of both better durability and handling!   It’s basically the same RC truck, but with some recent refinements to make it even better (however it's also a bit more expensive).  The original Team Associated SC10 is still available for sale and it is indeed already a better truck on the racetrack than many stock short course trucks on the market today, however for those that want something just a tad better, the Factory Team kit version also includes JConcepts Subcultures rear tires, even better Factory Team V2 threaded shocks, and improved V2 slipper clutch, ball differential with lightened outdrives, and a slight more tuned setup to make the best handling SC10 to date!
