The Team Associated B44 is a 1/10th scale 4WD electric buggy kit that has professional racing parts, but keeps its price affordable by allowing you to customize and add your own motor, battery, and electronics (servo, radio and receiver).  The car is a complete RC buggy otherwise, but without some lame brushed stock motor that you'll end up replacing/upgrading anyways and without a slow, low torque stock servo, cheap radio, but rather makes this 4WD buggy kit much more affordable by omitting these components that are often changed out anyways!  This helps those seeking a professional class racer at a significantly lower price!  Perfect for those that want the best specs for their taste and/or those that already have some of these spare components already on hand, or able to take them from that RC car that's no longer in use.  

The Team Associated B44 isn't just a plain jane 4WD buggy by any means, it has top of the line parts such as a "woven" carbon fiber chassis!  This means a lighter, yet stronger chassis!  It also has a hardened steel drivetrain, titanium turnbuckles, and aluminum shocks!  As you can see, the company was very meticulous with reinforcing and upgrading those parts that are crucial to performance and durability!  With its superior weight-to-strength ratio and choice of shocks, this makes for a great chassis to race at the track!
