The Tamiya TA05 is a step up from Tamiya's TT-01 RC touring car series, so if you're a high performance on-road RC racer, the extra cost for this one may be well worth it.  It's noticeably better, so much so that this model has won many IFMAR championships!  If you're really looking to win races and/or compete, this series is one to look into.

What makes the Tamiya ta05 series so much better?  Well it's faster and handles significantly better then their TT-01 on-road racing line!  There are a few reasons for this.  For starters it has an advanced "dual" drive belt setup which transfers power for efficiently and allows its 4WD drivetrain to transfer power better at faster speeds.  The car design is also well balanced to handle sharper turns more smoothly at high speeds.  More times than not, handling is everything on the track!  The company went to great detail to balance the weight for the highest possible performance, such as mounting the motor in the slightly left center and the battery just slightly right of center.

Initially the Tamiya ta05 model came out in a Ferrari F430 body only, however the V.2 (version II) that are out now also include the Toyota Corolla, the Team Weider Honda HSV-010 GT model, Tamiya Lamborghini Gallardo Lp560-4, the Raybrig version, the Mach Go Go Shaken, and more!
