The vintage Tamiya Super Champ was a 1/10th scale RC buggy kit 2WD design which was released in 1982.  This model was meant to be a competition class racer and had some interesting features.  It had a T-bar shaped front bumper and the car had a water resistant design by using rubber boots to protect the internal electronics and radio receiver and a fully sealed gearbox which meant you could run this one in the water, mud, wet sand, and even rain without damage.  It also had a neat free floating progressive, damping suspension system (FFPDS for short) which made the rear wheels really tackle off-road terrain very well!  It had the classic open cage design with a realistic metal top (to protect the driver in event of a rollover) and even a driver to resemble real racing buggies.

This vintage RC model was Tamiya first "competition" racer, which makes is valuable today by collectors.  Listings for the vintage Tamiya Super Champ are available for sale at the links above and below, however because of being harder to come due to their age, we can't guarantee inventory will always be available so collectors be aware.  Due to its history it makes a great addition to your collection!
