The vintage Kyosho Turbo Ultima RC buggy was essentially a very similar version as the Optima racing series, except for the Ultima was the 2wd version versus 4wd.  It was designed to compete with other two wheel drive buggy greats such as the Associated RC10s back in the mid 80s.  There were many extra features that made the turbo version of this RC car stand out such as adjustable long-travel platinum suspension and graphite shock mounts (towers), which meant a very high strength to weight ratio in this demanding area.  The vintage Kyosho Turbo Ultima also had complete set of ball bearings (14 total) along with a ball differential, and a Le Mans motor which meant more expensive parts were put into this model.
