Okay, another classic design, the vintage Kyosho Raider RC buggy series came in a few off-road racing variations to include the original non-pro version in either a kit form or in ARR form (meaning it was "Almost Ready to Run" and 90% assembled right out of the box) for the lazy folks and with a Lemans stock 05 motor.  A few years later the Kyosho Raider Pro kit and the Pro ARR versions were released!  All of them are pretty much the same RC car and chassis, except for original Kyosho Raiders had a LeMans motor and were manufactured in Japan in the early to mid 80s and the pro versions came out few years later and were made out of Korea and came with a Mabuchi RS-540SH 27 turn motor, which was considered quite fast for a stock motor of this vintage.  Both the original non-pro and Raider Pro and Turbo versions are considered vintage due to their age, with the only difference appearing to be where they were made and the different brand and model of motor.

Although still built for racing and speed, all the vintage Kyosho Raiders were a more all plastic design and a more affordable solution over the Ultima and Optima series with the first time racer in mind.  Plastic being more affordable and with greater impact resistance made it easier to both get started into the hobby and handle more crashes with ease while the driver is still getting used to the feel of racing RC cars on the track.

Both the Kyosho Raider Pro and Non-Pro 2wd buggy versions held their own though and due to how much of a hit they once were and how rare they are to find today, they're definitely a worthwhile investment for the R/C car collector (however not quite as valuable as the Optima or Ultima series).
